Divorce Therapy (For Individuals)
Looking for an individual therapist in Dallas–Fort Worth who can guide you through the healing process after a recent divorce or breakup?

When a relationship ends—whether through divorce, a painful breakup, or betrayal—it can feel like the ground beneath you has shifted. The grief that follows is real and valid, and often mirrors the experience of losing a loved one. At Bell Family Therapy, we help our clients to move through the divorce recovery process with compassion and clarity, creating space to process emotions, rediscover personal strength, and begin building a hopeful path forward.
If you’re struggling to recognize yourself after a breakup, you’re not alone. In fact, many of our clients describe feeling like they’ve lost not just their partner, but a piece of themselves. Through individual therapy, we help you grieve what was, understand what is, and begin to rediscover who you are.
Our work is centered on helping you rebuild a grounded sense of self, heal from relationship trauma, and reclaim your voice, your values, and your vision for what comes next.

What We Bring to Therapy
No two breakups are the same—and neither are the paths to healing. At Bell Family Therapy, we meet you where you are with a compassionate, personalized approach grounded in research-based therapy models. Our work draws from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
Whether you’re navigating the day-to-day grief of separation or unraveling the deeper wounds tied to your past, we help you understand the patterns that brought you here and gently guide you toward change.

Together, we’ll create a space where you can reflect, heal, and grow. Our goal is simple: to help you reconnect with yourself—your peace, your purpose, and your power.
Common Therapy Goals
After a Divorce of Break Up
If you’re here, life might feel upside down. Maybe you didn’t see the breakup coming, or maybe you were the one who left — either way, starting over can feel overwhelming. This is where healing begins and where you start reclaiming who you are and deciding what’s next.

Reclaim Identity
Rediscover who you are beyond the roles, relationships, and responsibilities that have defined you. Individual therapy creates space to explore your values, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with the version of yourself you want to become.

Gain Coping Skills
Learn to navigate overwhelming feelings like anger, anxiety, or sadness with healthy coping strategies. Therapy provides tools to process emotions, gain clarity, and respond rather than react — creating more balance and peace in your daily life.
